About Sunrise Rocks in Lake Bluff
Sunrise Rocks at Sunrise Park in Lake Bluff, Illinois has always had a philanthropic aspect, donating funds to various local organizations over the years benefiting The Zachary Porter Foundation, The Alliance for Excellence & Bluffers in Need Fund.
The Zachary Porter Fund honors and celebrates the life of a wonderful young man who leaves a meaningful impact on the community he cherished. Zach was acutely aware of how fortunate he was to grow up here in Lake Bluff, valuing the benefit of attending excellent educational institutions and always grateful for the opportunity to pursue any of his many interests. Zach wanted other children to experience those same opportunities. The Zachary Porter Fund will help subsidize enrichment activities, including music lessons, sports, park programs, and outdoor field trips, for kids who would not otherwise have the access to the same opportunities.
For over 25 years, the community of Lake Bluff has generously donated to The Alliance for Excellence providing funds to support the teachers and children of the Lake Bluff Public School District.
In the Village of Lake Bluff, every student's journey toward learning and growth is a story worth nurturing. The Bluffers In Need Fund stands as a testament to our collective commitment to ensure no student walks their educational path hindered by lack of resources. Managed with care by our district, this fund directly addresses the immediate needs of our students, making a tangible difference in students’ lives each year.
